Jamie Thackray, born 30th September 1979
Rothwell, Leeds, Yorkshire, England

Jamie Thackray is an English rugby league footballer for the Barrow Raiders in the Championship. A former Great Britain international, Thackray has played for several teams over his career. He plays as a prop forward.

After extended stints with Halifax Blue Sox and Hunslet Hawks, Thackray moved to the Castleford Tigers. During these seasons, Thackray played some games as a second-row forward before settling into his permanent role as a prop forward.

After Castleford, Thackray moved to Hull FC, Leeds Rhinos, and back again. This time also included a month-long loan to Doncaster in the Northern Rail Cup. At the end of the 2009 season, Thackray was released by Hull. In early 2010, Thackray signed for Crusaders Rugby League. Within a fortnight, he made his debut for the Crusaders against his former team, Leeds and went on to appear 20 times for the Welsh outfit during their Super League campaign.

On 12th November 2010, it was announced that he had joined Super League hopefuls Barrow Raiders for the 2011 Championship campaign
