It is heartening for me to see a growing "Local" pool of young Oldham Roughyeds signed up to represent the town, for sure Tony Benson is the coach to get the best out of them...he`s done it before...I also hope (without any proof of course) that the clubs recruiting progress means that we are going to operate in the refreshingly new territory of "Within our means"...Happy Days if so.
I hope for 2011 that there will be some pre season improvement of Whitebank terracing and midway through last season I had high hopes...Rugby Oldham made the right noises....Geoff????
The Lions are bursting with Talent and are clearly going to push all in at their new home in Salford, They look the team to beat on Paper.
The problem position has already been highlighted on another posting and if Neil has gone...hard act to follow!
It is a knife edge situation in one sense...what is the priority...
Ground Development(something we simply must not avoid!)?
or
Squad that can win automatic promotion?
Tough Choice...Come on junior`s Roughyeds!

Some good points made, I too feel it is important to live within our means, investing in young players from the town is good for the future and we have a lot of talented youngsters in this area.

Hope we will be there or there abouts come the end of the season but agree that the ground still needs work doing to it, but it will take time but if we all do our bit I'm sure we will get there.

Would like to wish Tony and the guys all the best for 2011, and hope people get behind the club.
