We have had a meeting with RFL today who had seen this posting and could have caused us embarrassment but luckily we had docs to prove the posting wrong as 2and2 still makes 4 not 5.The RFL have assured us that all Clubs are being treated the same so we will accept what they say. We had what ithink was a fruitful meeting and we now know what we need to do to register our players and move forward we have just been rushed into doing something we were in the process of doing anyway. We have set our own target date of 3rd december to try to resolve matters and are just asking for people to invest in their Club by buying shares in the same way that we have invested time and Money in our Club and it will help us to clear our debt and take a big step forward in 2011. You will see over coming weeks continuous positive news which will show how we are progressing as a Club.It will be all positive so lets keep it that way as we have made big strides on and off the field in last year and we have never been as positive as we are for 2011.Was 31 shares to sell now 28 by the way!

How are you ever in the position when you apparently made profit last year ?.
By the way Widnes fans are saying maybe get your own house in order before commenting on the profitablity of other clubs.
Their players are registered !!!

And I am sure the HMRC will want this from you as well Mr.Nicholas or will you try and get away with not paying this either?

Well, it's because last year we made a profit. Does that answer your question?
Oh, and well done Widnes. I am delighted for them, as I personally have a lot of time for them as a club. I am sure they are delighted you have come on here to represent them.

"Batley chairman is 'clearing things up' on their total RL forum. Maybe someone with an account on there would like to ask him to clear up his Widnes related comments?"
Delighted, Probably as they asked someone with a account on here to do it.
Did you make a Profit by not paying the bills then ?. ( your chairman " the only creditors we have are Hmrc ).
Well done, might as well call you The Batley Crusaders !!! Make profit but not pay the taxman.

No, doesn't really roll off the tongue! And it seems to me you are the only one here to be fighting a crusade, on behalf of the Widnes club. Well done.
Mind you, as a Halifax supporter, I would expect you to know all about this profit and loss kind of thing.

You have to admit Kevin is making himself sound a little it desperate! Profits attract investors ! And tax problems scare people into investing.

Are they indeed , and they dont owe a penny to anyone , how do you know this , seein as your not a widnes fan , it will be interesting to see , what other teams apart from widnes , as you say they are debt free , owe less than batley , and if you open that up to super league bet there debts dwarf ours

Did not mean to upset Widnes fans so will try to put a response on rlfans messageboard and by the way hmrc already have all our profit which is the point i was trying to make we werealready addressing issue.

It's enough to make anyone feel desperate, with the support the club gets from the Batley public.
