"Batley chairman is 'clearing things up' on their total RL forum. Maybe someone with an account on there would like to ask him to clear up his Widnes related comments?"

Delighted, Probably as they asked someone with a account on here to do it.

Did you make a Profit by not paying the bills then ?. ( your chairman " the only creditors we have are Hmrc ).
Well done, might as well call you The Batley Crusaders !!! Make profit but not pay the taxman.

Clearly you have a deep and detailed understanding of accounting.

Or is it just a bit too quiet for you at this time of year?

Ok, You made a profit of £32,000 or so, Did this go to the shareholders in dividends ?. if so then great, If not then surely your starting the year off paying HMRC either puts you in the black straight away. Creative accountancy is brilliant.

Onto My Next point, How can the RFL refuse to register your players, it would be nice to know if they had any Wakefield players registered as they had a court date with HMRC at the beginning of the month. Is it one rule for the Championship side and one for SL again. Also Crusaders went into Administration whilst Iestyn Harris was still signing players up, Were they being registered to Crusaders too ?.

I have no anomosity towards Batley what so ever and wish you all the best next year.

All profit from last year was used to reduce our debt amassed mainly in 2007 and 2008 seasons plus just over £7000 from 2009 no creative accountancy.
Now 18 shares left and would say that thanks to Colin the share certificates are easily presentable in themselves as a present and could be framed again as a present,
More good news in local press this week by the way

Kevin, I have alot of respect for you and for the Batley Club. I don't see why you needed to go on the Widnes RLFans forum to apologise for something that was said by SOC himself. It is something the whole of the game knows that they have been 'clever' with the books. It is not your problem that the Widnes fans refuse to open their eyes and ears to the real reason for the £1 million profit. Good luck this season, except against us Leythers of course

Sorry folks, no forecast comp this year

16 shares left so half way there more or less if you are thinking about investing in your Club now is the perfect time to have the most positive effect ever.We can do little more to get the Club in a more positive position to build on last years success we just need that extra bit of help as we have made giant strides behind the scenes in the close season. It has been the busiest close season we have ever had and we just hope it will pay dividends in 2011
