I presume he's passed a medical 100% fit.
Superb signing. I can't believe there are posters who even slag this one off. UNBELIEVABLE !
I apologise, I wasnt aware of his position at the club.
Well done BoD, what a signing!

Who in all reality did you think would have been a better signing of the current number 9s out there kid?
Not so long ago a signing of this stature, along with Thackery would have been a pipe dream for Barrow. Same with the Coaches, Schofield and Wright. Had Brian Noble got the job someone would have been on here saying "Why spend all that money on a coach?" "What has he won at Wigan and Crusaders?" Guaranteed.
I think its time some stopped and appreciated what we have got here and not keep trying to pick little holes in everything. Given the budgets, constraints and what we have to work with the Board, Club Staff and volunteers are doing a bloody marvellous job!
Couldn't agree more... The calibre of signings over the last few years have been exceptional and in some cases beyond belief. Keep doing what you are doing BOD. Ignore the doubters.. They are all probably a little bit "starstruck" at players they are used to only seeing

Great signing and more importantly somebody to rotate with mossop which we didn't have at the back end of last season.
Well done BOD.
Roll on the next unavailing

Unbelievable is the word...some posters just don't want to see or hear anything good about the club...they make me puke!!
if Des and the rest of the board upped sticks I wouldn't blame them at all...there is just no pleasing some people

MG's an international for heavens sake, as good as Mossy is he has a lot to learn and attain... before he reaches Gleesons standard
but he will, I think, learn a lot from this signing

- Gary Broadbent (get him signed)
- Andrew Ballard
- Zebastian Luisi
- Liam Harrison (get him fit)
- James Nixon
- Jamie Rooney
- Liam Campbell
- Jamie Thackray
- Mark Gleeson
- Matthew James
- Ned Catic
- Martin Ostler
- Paul Cook (its being talked about)
- Brett McDermott (get him signed)
- Richard Fletcher
- Michael Knowles
- Nathan Mossop
Butler, Larkin, Williams,
Coyle on way out.
Could do with another 2 players, maybe Young will come back if fit.
This is a fantastic squad of players who fit could destroy most teams. Best of look Nigel & Gary lets get behind them.

I dont mind him coming to the club I would rather just see Mossop playing as much game time as he can. I can see gleeson getting maybe 60 minutes a game a mossop only getting 20 minutes towards the end or maybe not coming on at all. Rather see cumbrian players for barrow than people who drift along the M62 going from club to club.

We have just signed Billy Slater, he's on a £100 a week, staying at Des's house, gunna help Kenny with ground maintenance and painting, run the Keswick to Barrow on one leg, serve behind the bar at half time and baby sit all Raiders fans under 10 so their parents can have a night out.
Expected comments from SOME on this Forum...............
He's too old,
never injured,
too short,
always injured,
too tall,
give Broady a chance,
can't swim,
he's Austrailian,
can't speak English,
colour blind,
has piles,
likes girls,
scared of seagulls,
bites his fingernails,
never indicates when driving,
hates alcohol etc.
FFS turn that frown upside feckin' down will ya!!!!!

Now we've gone out and got a top class hooker who will be able to spell Nathan ( I'm sure 20 / 20 each half ) - good for the team, good for Nathan.
Can't see why it is a bad thing !!
