Last season young Nathan had to keep playing 80 mins and his game and the team suffered a little. We tried one of the great DL players but he was a bit of a let down.

Now we've gone out and got a top class hooker who will be able to spell Nathan ( I'm sure 20 / 20 each half ) - good for the team, good for Nathan.

Can't see why it is a bad thing !!

If its 20/20 spells than I agree it is a quality signing.

I hope it's soon mash particularly in Broady's case, Bret too, but not quite so important in my view...no disrespect to him at all.. he's been an absolute credit both as a player and a person... but I thought he looked a very tired player at times last season, and with the forwards we have on the books now, +Jamie if he signs? I think we could cover the position fairly well, but Broady is still one of.. if not the best F/B outside of S/L, and would be very hard to replace.

We have just signed Billy Slater, he's on a £100 a week, staying at Des's house, gunna help Kenny with ground maintenance and painting, run the Keswick to Barrow on one leg, serve behind the bar at half time and baby sit all Raiders fans under 10 so their parents can have a night out.

Expected comments from SOME on this Forum...............

He's too old,

I see where your coming from here, father time and all that, but imagine how effect Bret could be if he could be rotated more next season due to a bigger number of forwards on the books, 15 or 20 min spells here and there to keep the intensity up for the whole 80 mins.

Some power in our pack.

If I were to give him one criticism, sometimes he falls fast asleep in defense.
