Shock!

Knights and Andrew Johns have parted company - after all this time!

Seems like money is at the heart of it. Negotiations for a new contract for Joey on the part time coaching staff as previously seemed to stall.
The club is left saying they hadn't realised there was a deadline, but whatever the reality any kind of deadline seems to have passed and Joey and his long time club Knights have separated.

Joey is relatively tight lipped over it, but will now be working elsewhere next season.

Didn't he do some work for Melbourne previously, coaching the halves? I must admit it was a surprise when I heard he was still at Newcastle.

This is the same rumour I have heard. The Rebels (RU) and the Storm (RL) are sharing his salary. Great news for both Melbourne teams.

I remember Matthew Johns was a part time skills coach at Storm - doing a similar job to the one his brother does.

The 'number of NRL clubs' Joey has done some part time coaching work with include: Knights, Eels, Dogs, Sea Eagles and Raiders. he's also worked with the ARU and had his controversial ending to his assistant coaching role with NSW recently.

I remember Matty Johns leaving his Storm job following a scandal.
