Meanwhile a Rugby League player on a fraction of that a SEASON has been concussed and has a dislocated finger.....he is refusing to come off

Quite agree, Gary, but it's not the players fault in football. It's the system. Personally never watch football these days for a whole load of reasons.

On the subject of money and football I see that Barrow FA got about £45,000 for Jason Walker. On that basis how much would some of our players be worth.

I don't mind footy now and again Gaz but I agree entirely with your post. Every single tackle in RL is made with impact - some bone shuddering collisions. The slightest draft past a footy player appears to seem em drop to the floor as if they have been hit by a pick axe, often rolling about clutching their bodies in apparent agony!!!

A few weeks ago Hindpool played Pioneeers on a terrible Friday night, howling gale, pouring rain and ice cold temperatures.

At half time the score was six all and the ref offered to call the match off because of the weather, Darren Clarke's reply "Come on lads, we're not footballers" .

Nuff said but match was a credit to both teams and Rugby League
