Current Squad for 2011
Fullback:
Winger: Larkin, Ballard, Nixon
Centre: Harrison
Standoff: Rooney
Scrum Half: Coyle, Campbell
Prop: James, Thackray
Hooker: Mossop, Gleeson
2nd Row: Catic, Knowles, Fletcher, Ostler
Loose F: Luisi
Players from 2010 squad yet to sign
Fullback: Broadbent
Prop: McDermott, Butler, Young
If the above 4 sign on (and I really hope they all do), then the obvious squad weakness is at Centre. The pack is looking mean and mobile. We do need considerably more depth in the rest of the positions yet though.

I think Brett agreed terms on Saturday Steve.
In fact I'm 99% sure he did.

I would sign Bauer tommorow. He lives here now and a really good squad player to have available. He has'nt been offered terms no as of yet but I'm sure he will. Otherwise he said he will play for Walney Cents!

It has certainly been mentioned that he is thinking of playing for Cents.

shame to waste him at amateur level when we are short of outside backs

Don't rate him. Caused a bit of a stir with other players last year also.
Something apparently seen, heard, or sensed, but having no physical reality!

We need to get Butler, Broadbent and McDermott signed up and atleast another 3/4 recruits if we are to compete next year. It's all well and good having the best full-strength 17 in the league- but its the depth and versitility of a squad that decides the final standings. As we learnt last year, disastors to occur, injuries do occur, the size of our squad next year MUST be prepared for an injury crisis just as bad. The current crop of players are potentially very good, however we have a long way to go before we can be happy with the depth of our squad.

Great news!
Now lets get Butler, Broady and Young (injury depending) to do the same!

I reckon Knowles would do a great job at centre. He was showing a few silky skills on Sunday!!!
We seem to have plenty of cover in the fwd pack.

Think he could do a job there but we need a natural, recognised centre to play in the number 3 shirt next season. Im sure the BoD won't let us down...
