It looked like Dragons were going to opt our (didn't know it was an option) of the World Club Challenge game against Wigan early next year.
Peter Doust said they weren't under an obligation to play it.

Why Peter? It has been difficult but possible for Storm, Manly, Tigers, Broncos, Dogs, Panthers etc in all years from 2000.
Maybe he's bowed to some kind of pressure because it does now look as though Dragons will put a team out for the game.
Does this put a question mark against Dragons committment to the fixture? Maybe they'll send a B team?
Maybe the poor showing of England in the 4 nations made the fixture with Wigan less attractive?

The problem was it clashed with the annual charity shield game the Dragons have regularly played against the Rabbitohs since 1982. It has all been resolved and now a full strengh St George Illawarra Dragons team that started back training today, will take on the Wigan Warriors on Sunday February 27th 2011 at DW Stadium, Wigan UK
Other Dragon pre-season games are
Sunday, February 13 2011: Charity Shield.....Dragons v Rabbitohs; ANZ Stadium
Friday, February 18 2011: Mercury Challenge.....Dragons v Bulldogs; venue to be confirmed
