QUOTE (Millman @ Dec 1 2010, 08:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Christianity has a far bigger impact on society than Islam in my view. Which days/hours are businesses not allowed to trade because of Islamic belief system for instance?

In the Middle East and some other parts of the world - plenty. There are very few restriction on trading over here, very few indeed.

QUOTE
How many children are fed Islamic belief as fact at state funded schools in this country?

I don't like any kind of state sponsored indoctrination but you cannot evaluate its effects by a simple number count. What is the worst that you would expect at an Anglican school?

QUOTE
Why are all the shops full of gifts at this time of year?

Saturnalia? Candlemass?

Very little to do with Christianity.

I'll do it for him. In the very same post that you feign innocence over having caused any offence, you label bowes a bigot. You are totally out of order.

You also clearly have an issue with comprehension. I invited him to wear the cap if it fitted. I did not label him/her a bigot, that choice sit with him/her.

Again with the feigned innocence.

I'll answer for him

If the cap fits is a well known phrase that Millman (Cas Vegas) has used in the right context - I don;t think he was implying anything
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

I was talking about this country, as indeed I think bowes was.

Superstitious nonsense treated as fact. That's not healthy. It does impact society. When we're talking about effect on society then numbers do come into it. The catholic church inflicts, in my own opinion, has a bizarre attitude towards homosexuality, sex in general and I don't see this as healthy for society.

You don't think that Christmas is to do with Christianity. To some extent I agree, but come on.....

I agree but the various Christian schools don't invite religious fanatics in to to give speeches to children. I don't like the Catholic church's stance on a variety of issues but they aren't trying to indoctrinate a generation of Jihadists.

I don't think the commercial holiday that has grown up around it is anything to do with Christianity. Christ was very much against materialism.

They're too busy covering up the bumming of kids to invite that many guest speakers. Oh hang on isn't this where we started? A thread about the evils of paedophilia.

Don't worry, he'd forgive the materialists.

Aaaaand that's enough.

Money can't buy happiness... but it can buy bacon which is close enough.
