I know some milds have a lower ABV but they're not likely to be stocked at a sensible price in my local Tesco's.
Thanks.

There are some excellent Belgian Kriek beers that are around 3-3.5% alchohol, stocked by Asda and Morrisons to name but two.

Chocolate and toffee aromas lead into a rich and flavoursome ale for its strength. This is a dark mild. The finish is pleasantly bittersweet.

Becks Blue Label - very good for an alcohol-free lager and available in all the supermarkets.

A dark chestnut coloured ale, full of roast malt flavours, and complemented with superb dry-hop aromas from East Kent Goldings.
Close again.

Alcohol-free lager?
What purpose does that serve then?

That's the one I was going to mention, not bad for an alcohol free lager. I once tried Kaliber out of curiosity, never again foul evil chemical mix of flith.

The last government were convinced that we were there to do their bidding. They wasted vast quantities of our money in order to spy on us, intimidate us and needlessly over regulate us, whilst gold plating their own pensions and expenses. Their behind the scenes encouragement of, and turning a blind eye to, the kettling and harrassment tactics of the Police are a shameful episode in our history which we need to remember and address urgently. - Haloman

2.8% ABV
Nose is of burnt, roasty malt and caramel. The first sip is immediately malty, with a gentle roastiness and some caramel sweetness. These flavours continue as a sort of ovaltine-like maltiness, leaving a sweetish aftertaste with a lingering hint of burnt-sugar bitterness. Although at a mere 2.8% it is inevitably going to be quite light bodied, the depth of flavour is nonetheless impressive for a beer that your granny could drink all night. A classic session beer for those who like good old-fashioned malt flavours but don't want to be under the table by closing time.
Sorted.

There used to be cans of Morrisons own brand bitter and lager that were less than 3%.

Still a very good beer, but not the magical liquid it was with the old recipe.

I think I saw a load of that in one of those cheapo shops "Quality Save" or something. Might be the one to go for if they've got any still.
