Some interesting opinions but i cant see halifax doing the same next year. if dewsbury and batley are anything like last season everybody beware, they are tougher than results made out. As for York and hunslet 2 good sides that will give it there all and be hard teams to turn over.
If the last couple of years are anything to go by then league predictions are pointless as anyone can win it. plus you dont have to finish top to win it anyway as we saw only in september.

Good luck to all teams involved next season. biggrin.gif

Fev fan.

Sharpy,

sensible, logical and level post, too many games to be played for predictions to be made at this stage.

As a Fev fan I am taking nothing for granted and can see us finishing anywhere from 6 to 1st that is how tight this league is and to be honest what makes it a joy to be part of.

One of our first games last season was Dewsbury, and to be honest they looked completely out of their depth. However by the time we played them again they were well up to speed and where probably the better team, although they lost. My point is at first it is a bit of a culture shock, which takes some getting used and is very hard to prepare for, until you are in the battle so as to speak. So indeed it may look on paper like a hard task at the minute and early doors it may look a lost cause but both Dewsbury and Keighly both showed that they had what it takes to compete buy the middle of the season.

I am looking forward to visiting both York and Hunslet, seeing different stadiums and mixing with different fans.

I for one will be hoping York stay up.

Not the right topic, but see Barry Eaton has left the Cougars
to become assistant at Crusaders.

Featherstone have to overcome the psychological trauma of 'ending with nothing' from the 2010 campaign.
Halifax have to cope with playing within the salary cap and without their better players who have left for pastures new.
Widnes have to cope with the influx of a large number of new players together with a new coach with the added problem of those players knowing they will be discarded once their 'promotion' to Super League is a reality.
Barrow lack stability and continuity and their superb fans may miss out again in 2011.
Sheffield Eagles have an excellent coach and will punch above their weight, again.
Leigh will rely on dual-registration players. Will be no more of a threat than in 2010.
Dewsbury are the unpredictable lot in the mix.
York City Knights have retained the nucleus of their promotion-winning side. They have a coach who is able to construct a successful side from nothing and as it appears they may be quite happy to adopt a siege mentality I shall jokingly add my name to the list who 'writes them off' while knowing very well that the players at the club will do exceedingly well.
Batley cannot be predicted as I don't know if they have had their players registered,as yet.
Hunslet have a number of good individual players but we won't know how good their coach may be until he stops playing and refereeing.May very well struggle.
Toulouse will also make good use of dual-registration players.
I look forward to offyergo informing me of the betting odds when they are available.

Oh really ....you know jack s hit obviously...... dry.gif
