If this was to happen and be a success it would be giant step forward for the game on the international stage.

Indeed it was an eye opener talking with everyone there and the plans they all have for Rugby League on the continent there.

Though the Pro RL in the AMNRL has stalled slightly, the plans are still there. David this week has been in negotiations with parties. I think many of the clubs there are looking at the Axemen model to at least semi professionalize themselves.

Speaking with Spinner over lunch on the Monday, he was saying that when they travel to away games none of the players pay a cent. Though they don't get paid themselves they don't incur any costs either, so all trips, hotels and gear is paid for by the club.

Last year the club only ran at a $1000 loss and the next season is looking to run at break-even. The AMNRL has a tone of sponsors. The Atlantic Cup had so many sponsors that were gave money or in Kind.

They even had car dealerships like Toyota sponsoring the tournament! The yanks are very very professional in the way they run things, don't be surprised to see them up at the top withing the next 10 years, not just on the field but also off it.

Your welcome, was a real eyeopener being in Jacksonville and meeting everyone involved.

I am hoping to get down to Jamaica soon to see how the JRL is run on the ground.
