Well the discussion relates to the sexual mores of men of Pakistani origin, so here's an article on that subject.

no it doesn't
rape, paedophilia and other sexual offences have nothing to do with 'sexual mores'. I suggest you do a bit of research.
and looking at pornography has nothing to do with the sexual mores of men of pakistani origin(also known as pakistanis) either

The article refers to searches for child porn, rape porn, bestiality and various other nasty stuff that goes beyond what we would normally consider porn.

For pity's sake NS, how long have you been a member of this board. By now you should know better than to try and challenge the usual suspects' sanctimonious posturing, and especially not by introducing mere facts.

yes its weird, depraved, stuff that any decent person wouldn't have anything to do with, and would quite rightly get you locked up in many countries including the UK
does it act as an indicator that young asian men in the UK are predisposed to sexually abusing vulnerable adolescent girls? I don't think so

I think it is more a general indicator of what happens when sexuality is repressed. It goes in some pretty odd directions. I think there is also a certain overlap between this and what Alibai-Brown was saying about a culture that may not exactly tolerate this kind of stuff but doesn't tackle it head on either.

I think that's an interesting point
but rape and sexual abuse aren't related to sexuality

They may be that desperate for sex they resort to abuse or rape? In some of these cases most of the abusers (not these arrested ringleaders) would be the men paying for the women as prostitutes

But they are related to attitudes towards sexuality. The uber-traditional attitude towards women is that they are virtuous or they are whores; if they are whores then it doesn't matter what happens to them.

what you are describing is attitudes towards gender not sexuality.
A person's 'sexuality' refers to their sexual orientation, whether they are attracted to men or women or both. This has no bearing on a person's prediliction for rape.
what was driving these men to behaving the way that they did?
Their race? I don't believe so.
Their religion? I don't think so.
The race of their victims? Possibly
Their sexual urges? I don't think so, that isn't what rape is all about
in my opinion it was the vulnerability of their victims -this is about power, combined with maybe racism.

No, it doesn't at least it doesn't solely refer to that. Your sexuality isn't just about whether you prefer "chicks", "dudes" or "chicks with dix". It is also refers to whether things such as believing that sex outside of marriage is wrong or whether dogging is nowt but a bit of a laugh.
Freddie Mercury was a homosexual and so was Kenneth Williams but while one went in for over indulgence, the other was plagued by self-revulsion and abstinence.
