This Friday (December 3rd) from 11 onwards I will be promoting one Rugby League book with its content based in West Yorkshire and signing copies of another set in South Lancashire.
The first is a collection of interviews carried out by Huddersfield University as part of its 'Up And Under' oral history
project. The aim of this project is "to preserve, celebrate and broaden recognition of the sport's rich social and cultural history in West Yorkshire". Among the players, referees, administrators, coaches, officials and supporters interviewed are a number with a Hunslet/South Leeds connection: Alf Burnell, Ikram Butt, Bak Diabira, Albert Eyre, Geoff Gunney, Derek Hallas, Phil Hodgson, Harry Jepson, Sid Rookes, John Sheridan, Stan Timmins, Frank Wagstaff and Frank Watson. The title of the book, a rather unusual one, is "No Sand Dunes In Featherstone" a statement which comes from Mick Morgan's contribution in the book.
The second is my fourth novel 'One Autumn' which is set during the 1992/93 season with a background of Work, Family Life and Rugby League.
Memories of West Yorkshire Rugby League on Friday.

www.geofflee.net for news of my novels, One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn, all written against a strong Rugby League background, set in South Lancashire and inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".
