Widnes West Bank's defeat of Premier Division Blackbrook, yesterday, in the Lancashire Cup semi final, ensured that a 2nd Division side reached the final for the first time ever.
This is also the first time West Bank have appeared in the open age Lancashire Cup Final in the club's 70 year history.
The final is scheduled for December 27th and will be against the winners of Halton Simms Cross and Bank Quay Bulls.

Forecast is a freeze every night until the 27th - could well move it to Leigh Easts 3G pitch.

Not suprisingly, the Lancashire Cup final sceduled for the 27th has been postponed. A new date has yet to be announced but with the winners of the match due to take part in the preliminary round of the Challenge Cup on the 8/9th January there isn't much scope for delaying too long.
