Dead easy to organise. Direct flights from Manchester to Toulouse, or you can fly from Leeds-Bradford to Carcassonne and then transfer from there, either by train or by contacting Catalans Sports Tours.

Plenty of hotels in Toulouse, we tend to go to the Ibis opposite the train station and a mere 5-10 minute walk from the Melting Pot pub which has basically been converted in to a RL pub. Loads of scarves and flags etc on the ceiling and they always show the Super League games on the telly. Quality stuff.

I priced up Bristol to Toulouse, £177 for 2 adults and a child, not bad that. Also priced Scumchester and Leeds but got £700, can't afford that I'm afraid.

Be careful booking flights to France early, as certain fans in our area did to watch Whinos play Catalans.

After fixture list was printed and released, fans booked early hotels and flights, for the fixture date to be changed to allow Sky Sports to broadcast.
The fans were not happy paying out loads of money and not get a refund.
Poor Whinos fans, my heart bleeds. ha ha.

I understand at the moment that Sky are to broadcast 3 Hunslet Hawks games. Dont know how many of these are home or away.

I'm fairly sure Sky have never featured a Toulouse home game on a Thursday night ... and in any case they've already chosen their game for that particular week.

Now French strikes, work-to-rules, etc, that's an entirely different matter ..

Sky have no broadcast rights to Toulouse games so can't alter their fixtures for this reason.

Sky don't broadcast any Toulouse home games so you've no worries about that. Orange TV did previously broadcast Toulouse games which meant our game there in 2009 was switched with a fortnight's notice to take place at a different stadium (near the airport) and three hours earlier than planned, but they didn't do their games last season and I've not heard anything of it happening this time around either.

Managed to find some time last night to do a proper search for flights for the game in Toulouse. I would say there are four realistic options, i.e. ones that don't involve silly amounts of travelling at one end or the other, or need more than a couple of days' holiday (for us Monday to Friday types anyway). If anybody finds any more then perhaps they could add the details to this thread.

These flights were correct as of yesterday (7 Dec) but everything is "subject to change", does not include taxes and of course "terms and conditions apply" ...

Remember the match is scheduled for Saturday 14th May, ko 1900.

MANCHESTER - TOULOUSE (BMIBaby)

Out: Fri 13th d 1910, a 2220 £38.04
Back: Sun 15th d 2250, a 0005 £28.04

EAST MIDLANDS - CARCASSONNE (Ryanair)

Out: Fri 13th d 0725, a 1025 £33.99
Back: Mon 16th d 1505, a 1615 £33.99

LIVERPOOL - CARCASSONNE (Ryanair)

Out: Thu 12th d 1000, a 1300 £33.99
Back: Sun 15th d 1325, a 1430 £22.99

MANCHESTER - PERPIGNAN (BMIBaby)

Out: Fri 13th d 0645, a 1000 £49.04
Back: Sun 15th d 1030, a 1155 £38.04
OR: Mon 16th d 1040, a 1155 £28.04

Carcassonne is about 1 hr by train from Toulouse and according to the SNCF timetables, is a fairly frequent service (about 1 per hour)

Perpignan is further away and nearly always seems to involve a change at Narbonne, average journey time to Toulouse by train, about 3 hours.
