I realise it's probably a contradiction in terms, but can anyone recommend somewhere that serves edible food in Blackpool?
For some bizarre reason we are having our Christmas night out there and I want to at least enjoy a meal before the inevitable rounds of low- class hostelries.
A good Italian, French, Thai or at a push Chinese would suffice - please no down at heel curry houses though!!
Anyone??

Not much of it about, La Piazza in Bispham is well thought of locally.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

From past experience you really can't go wrong with the hot dog man on the front who sells them for 65p.
Fantastic value IMO.

Not exactly what I had in mind! Still it's probably preferable (and probably safer) than one of the many kebab shops that seem to be a fixture of every street corner

Took the little one to see the lights a few weeks back. Blackpool itself is a pretty desperate place when it comes to food, but if you get the tram up to Bispham there's a few decent places on the road leading away from the front just by the tramstop.
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.
