Utter garbage

Couldnt even raise a smile during the green mile sketch

A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.
He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.
And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.

We watched in horror as he crashed and burned.

BTW I've just read his book which was bought for me last Christmas. He's an odd chap, I hope he doesn't write another and that somebody buys it me.

Gone off him since he insulted Downs Syndrome sufferers. Not even a "near the knuckle joke" was just a comment.

As a stand-up he's one of the best live acts I've seen in years, in fact I'm off to see him on Friday. But that show last night was so weak it's hard to believe it was his.

His stand up is good, but why do stand-ups think they can write sketches?

Sketches, and creating recognisable characters (even stereotypes) isn't as easy as it seems. Even good exponents of it don't always make it work.

Frankie's attempt to do sketches last night was truly terrible.

That Knight Rider sketch was something else.

What on earth was it? Is he trying to re-create the Dave Allen Show without the wit???

Same with Stephen K Amos. However Lee Mack and Tim Vine have pulled off a reasonable sitcom.

I've stuck with it. It's got worse. Much worse.

It's supposed to be satirical, but it's just ######.

I've nothing against any comedian who wishes to sail a bit close to the wind in terms of his content - if I know what to expect and I don't like the sound of it, I just won't watch it - but I'm afraid poking fun at innocent kids with serious disabilities, or anyone with a disability in fact, is out of order. Its not even an issue of whether or not I have the option to turn the channel over to avoid him - it shouldn't be happening at all. If Mr.Boyle can't find a more 'deserving' target for his brand of 'critical' humour, then he's either just a talentless shock jock, or a bit of a sicko.
The fact that Channel 4 chose to defend the cruel jibes that were aimed by him at Jordan's disabled child is pretty disgusting IMO. I absolutely detest the woman in general, but well done to her for taking a stand and making a complaint against his 'humour'.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Yeah I like Not Going Out. Though Lee Mack's character in it seems not that different to him in real life which probably helps.

As to this I think making jokes directed at individual disabled children is even worse than in general and that to me is an area to avoid jokes, though Jimmy Carr seems to do it successfully.

Agree in general. However perhaps his "satirical point" could be that maybe she could spend some time with her son rather than getting herself in the redtops whilst he is cared for by others? Distasteful yes, Ms Pryce on the moral high ground I think not.

Good point about her headline-hogging lifestyle. Like I said, I can't stand the woman. However, in this case she definitely has the moral high ground. As for it perhaps being 'satire' - its not. Its not even close to 'satire', just a nasty, horrible dig at the softest target of all - a disabled child.
