Beween 9 & 12 inches of snow drifting all over the pitch. Focast for Thurs night well below freezing
Even with a miracle and we got a thaw late Fri or early Sat the pitch would be waterlogged

it was the corrct thing to do calling the game off this early, with more snow forcast and still coming down, the temperatures are not going to get much above freezing, also our landlords have a duty of care to provide safe access/egress whilst people are on the premesis

i am sure most other teams already know that they wont be playing,

Just heard Skirlaugh are trying to get the Hedon Council lads to sort the pitch out, the problem is waking them up in their lobby.

Will be quicker to wait for the sun to shine than wake that lot up, understand they have been sent home cos the tempeature in the lobby has reached 95 deg !!!!!!!!!!!

Early to call the game off ? With a name like Santa your not from this planet If we get some decent weather ? we will get some for sure but not this week. All games off last week when the weather was better, NO CHANCE OF ANY GAMES ON THIS WEEK Spoke with Kelvin the Chairman of Dudley Hill on Wed night who said if the game had been at Bradford they would have been calling the game off already
As regards the Groundsman comment Its worth remembering we are ALL VOLUNTEERS at Eastside and Andy does more than most to make sure all games go on wether it be Rugby, Football, Open Age, Youth, Saturday or Sunday you name it Andy does it
