Congratulations to the club on taking up the RFL opportunity of participating in the new Championship Scholarship scheme. This is a superb idea for the realistic development of a Championship club and everyone involved is to be applauded for taking this idea forward. A lot of hard work and consideration has clearly gone on over several months on this issue and proves the club's ambition, now we have a base in Oldham, to pursue and develop a youth policy in some style. Excellent news - best of luck on the whole project.
Great forward thinking. Well done!

I think it's more a case of If you don't do it, come 2012 the RFL will reduce their funding to all Championship Clubs that don't undertake this Scheme !

Really good news. This is one of the things Rugby Oldham had talked to the club about doing and its a great step forward plus an opportunity for young talent to prove its worth.

Just shows that the club is thinking of the future and I like others who have posted replies wish the club, John and Phil all the best and I hope that the whole of the rugby league community in Oldham get behind the Roughyeds during the coming season.
