The majority of clubs will be experiencing some financial difficulties and Oldham will not be exempt from this unfortunately you just have to see what has happened at Blackpool, my understanding the RFL are not going to keep bailing clubs out if they are in financial difficulties therefore more clubs could unfortunately go to the wall.
No one will deny that the Roughyeds have struggled for years but due to the work being undertaken by the club and volunteers supporting developments at the club we can look forward to actually increasing revenue for the club as we are not paying rents to others.
This club has a great fan base and the majority of fans want to see the Roughyeds succeed, what we do not need are people spreading rumours that are not substantiated.
Whilst I do not doubt your sincerity perhaps you would be better advised to think about highlighting the positives about the Roughyeds e.g. investing in local talent, keeping a reserve team that did us proud last season and now investing in youth.
What we need is for the supporters (especially those that have been staying away) of Oldham Roughyeds to come and support the club and put behind them issues from the past, and look towards devloping teams that will challenge at all levels in the future.
Good luck with your project.
