Let me explain: I am not trying to prove anything. I am showing a tragic example of where a prosecution was carried out and a relatively light sentence given. This shows it is possible to prosecute yet be humane at the same time

Yes.

I am actually considering writing to the CPS to ask them why they came to the decision I did, for without that sort of enquiry, the CPS may feel they can go unchallenged.

The title relates the CPS overall.

My wondering relates to the merits or otherwise of this case where the guy was let off from his crime.

I thought the whole purpose of a legal system was to remove personal prejudices from the trial and sentencing of people.

There are some on here who would do well to remember that.
