There was a programme on BBC3 a bit ago called Don't Get Ripped Off which dealt with this sort of real world consumer problems, a bit like The Real Hustle but about shopping. It had a set-up where an ipod was marked wrong, about 10% of price. Once the item is paid for and reciept given (as well as goods in this case) then it's yours. It's their mistake.
However if you were prepared to buy them at full price anyway, why not pay the difference?
(There was also stuff about what happens if you break something accidentally in a shop on the shelves, etc. stuff like that, interesting series)

We ordered two beds at the weekend, the salesman wrote out the bill for them and added up the cost of them at £100 less than it should have been..(£299 + £248 he said was £447) which he wrote down and I paid by debit card the amount he said, it wasnt until we got home did we realise what he had done. He has now rung back and left a message on the answermachine saying there is a problem with the order. Do I have to pay the £100 legally? it seems to me if you cant add 2+2 you deserve all you get !! but then again the beds have to be delivered when in stock, so they hold all the cards or beds it would seem... Anyone got a clue? cheers
You sure about that?

It happend to me a few years ago when buying vinyl.
I had eleven pieces, seven of which we're dutch imports and £8 instead of the usual £5/£6 for the UK label stuff.

Is that really the same thing, or is it you wanting to be the centre of attention again?
