According to the league express Alex Hurst as left to play for Sedgley park, this is disappointing as i thought he was a very promising prospect. Also SM says that he is not looking for anymore players as he as enough with the 27 he has. If Hurst as gone i make the squad 25 so who are the other two?

Don't read too much into it they missed out half the signings including Carl Forber.

We will see who gets what shirt at the Meeting next Wednesday

Strange that Ian, as if we go back to the announcement of Andy Ainscough, Mike Morrison and Karl Ashall having signed on 11th November the post script (on the club website, no less) was:

Director of Rugby Paul Kidd has expressed his delight over these three signings saying
“All three of these signings will be assets for the Club. They will be competitive and there is now competition throughout the squad. The Club will be announcing a further three signings in the near future in the form of a Forward, a Half Back and a Three-quarter. That will then represent a full complement of 28 players."

The half back in question was later revealed to be Carl Forber, so Glengary is right - there are 2 mystery men; i.e. a forward and a three quarter.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

Funny that mark because I too have also been agreeing with Phil recently. That said credit where credit is due.

I have been in contact with the club and Alex has not left he is playing for Sedgley for the winter season and has been training with the Lions and is very much in the team plans for next season.

It must be the new more laid back pipe and slippers PhilH...You have to have him to counteract the smokescreen of spin without substance that can sometimes emanate from our"glorious leaders", and dont I just know this as an ORLFC fan.
I have found there to be both a lot of thought and a good deal of sense in PhilH`s postings (along with Spelly`s heart on sleeve stuff which I also enjoy as its usually in the context of a long suffering dedicated Fan).
I think your lot are going to do the business this year, you have certainly got a fantastic venue to perform in if you are at the willows!
On a further personal note there has been no better place in the mid afternoon sunshine to have watched RL over the last few years than at Sedgeley Park, a truly unique and enjoyable experience which I will miss immensely.
Our own place at Whitebank needs work desperately but all appears quiet on that front currently though the admission price has gone up for 2011 which really is a case study for yourselves...would you be able to develop a stadium adequately even if a suitable site was forthcoming?

I hope you have a fine season and look forward to our local derby with relish!
as well as further pearls of wisdom from shhhh...you know who...Have a peaceful Christmas, and dont forget you are very welcome to the LAW CUP!

Mystery over; and the correct answers to this round of the Christmas quiz were - Ian Mort and Neil Rigby!
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.
