I'm quite happy with that signing. Dawesy wasn't too happy under the Rotheram style of play where he found himself often with two men to mark in defence due to the system not working but I still think he has a lot to offer. Hopefully, Charlo and Oggy can get the best out of him and we see his real worth to the team.

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Good to see him back. The N&S must have loads of pics of Dawesy in a Town shirt, but they choose one of him in a Jam Rag (excuse the pun). Is this done on purpose or is my N&S paranoia creeping back again.

When it was first went up online yesterday it was definitely a Haven shirt as
the photo!!!!! Just checked again and like you say is now in a Town shirt.
Maybe someone pointed out the error of their jam obsessed ways.
PS - Good signing.
