I've become slightly obsessed with Blacks chocolate.
I tried some random from Waitrose last night but i've forgotten what it was.. Are there any other decent brands that are easily purchased that i'm missing out on?

Chocolate elitism (dare I say snobbery?) is completely lost on me. I've tried lots of different types, but can't see what all the fuss is about. It's all a bit emperors new clothes as far as I can taste.
Give me Galaxy and I'm happy. I'll spend the money I save on stuff where I do notice the difference, such as beer and wine. But not butter and honey, they are also in the same class as chocolate for me, cheap and cheerful is just as good as expensive.

Waitrose sell a small selection from the Rococo Chocolates range. Look for the blue and white packaging.

The problem with good quality chocolate like Green and Blacks and Hotel Chocolat is that once you have tasted it, you can't go back to the cheaper stuff (by this I mean the >75% cocoa). I still like a bar of dairy milk now and again. It's like you want a burger although you prefer fillet steak.

I can't eat more than one piece of expensive chocolate, whereas I can scoff a whole bar of cheaper (not cheapest though)
So it's relatively less expensive and lasts longer - the deciding factor is the mood/need I have

Get yersen to Lidl. Very good inexpensive chocolate selection.

Green and Blacks belongs to Cadbury - so I don't buy it. I've had a partial ban on Nestles too - but I must admit I find their milk chocolate preferrable to Cadburys. However, now Nestles have decided to shut the Cas factory, I doubt if I'll be buying their stuff at all.
What I have been buying are bars of 90% plain from Lidl for .99p
My favourite "chocolate bars" are Ritter Sport. Very expensive though so I don't buy them often.

Me too, I now buy Thornton's as it's local to me.
That is until it too gets swallowed and closed by a multinational.
