they were showing 'out of stock' yesterday afternoon before i went to work, but when i got home last night it was showing 'in stock'....anyway,i ordered mine from the blades website on sunday night and got my shirt just now by courier smile.gif very nice indeed.IMO best shirt we've had since the classic maroon and orange V when stephen ball took over the club.ive always liked hooped jerseys and these are more traditional batley colours.well done to all concerned.

did you pay the £7.50p delivery charge ? , I thought that was a bit steep as the shop is 2 minutes by car,
So I phoned them to check the stock, and went down to pick a shirt up myself, X Blades is up the metal Fire Escape staircase to the right and rear of Karl Harrisons Kitchen/Bathroom shop on Bradford Road,

and another problem, when I got the shirt home the medium was too small, so had to take it back to swap it,

Not wishing to be too critical but I've just got back from trying to buy the new Batley kit.

It was a struggle to find XBlades I could find no mention of it on the list of businesses on the mill complex. I had to ask three people who actually worked on the Mill complex before I found someone who knew where it was. Even then I wasn't sure if the fire escape he sent me up was the right place as I could find no sign on the door.

Luckily I bumped into another Batley fan who told me he'd tried the day before but by the time he'd got there it was closed.

We got inside went up more stairs and ended up in what we assumed was the XBlade "shop". The only reason we knew this was we saw the excellently designed new shirts in boxes on the floor. We had to shout for attention and when a chap did appear he informed us that the card machine was broken so if we wanted to get a shirt I assumed we'd have to come back again with cash.

Both me and the other fan left empty handed.

I like the new shirt it's finally in the right colours and I'm glad it's produced locally but surely it could be a bit easier to get hold of?

For when the one great scorer comes to mark against your name he writes not if you won or lost but how you played the game.

Only being in a new job 2 minutes, unfortunately this time of year wont lend me the spare wonga to plump for a new strip.

-There is a good demand (probably growing daily till the 26th) for the replica's so why the hell arent the manufacturers or club pushing them under everyones noses?

i'm not a fan of bemoaning the club i love but why have a great product but then fail to sell it/ promote it?

Karl cheers now move on the KEAR IS HERE!

From what they were saying at X Blades on Saturday, the sales of shirts have gone mad. They were very surprised how well they had sold and needed to make a load more.

X blades told me they took £2.000 on the shirt launch night, and the Batley shirts were out selling the Halifax shirts, Profits do not go to Batley, they supply all kit to Batley for free,

Even if the club only receive free kit from x-blades, maybe if sales are good there might be some extra items later in season.

Plus it will surely put the club in a better bargaining position in future years if the supplier knows items will sell well.

And, the more shirts sold means more shirts worn around the town which raises the profile of the club

so everyones a winner biggrin.gif
