It says on Sky Sports that the rams along with Widnes and Hunslet had a chance in signing him,but York gave him a coaching role with his 12 month deal.He's a good player,but at 34 years old,i can't believe we would had wasted alot of money on him,when we have younger and dare i say it hungry players here at the rams.He might be in for a shock at the good standard of teams and players in this league,i bet Robbie Paul was last season.

Yep, there's no place for ageing forwards in the Championship - they'd soon get found out.

Theres a difference between JD and our aging forward, a large signing on fee and salary

If I was going to throw money at an old bloke JD wouldn't have been my first choice - I wouldn't have minded Brad Drew though. Is he still available by the way?
