The Knights are holding their annual Player Sponsors Night this coming Thursday (16th December) and supporters are invited to join the players, staff and sponsors in Bar 13. The bar will be open from 7pm and the players will be joining the evenings proceedings at around 8pm. Knights fans will have the opportunity to find out the players squad numbers, who is in the running for the captaincy and to meet the players, including our latest star signing Jason Demetriou. The club shop will also be open with a range of new merchandise available. We expect to have all sizes of replica shirts available other than 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, which are due early next week.
For more information contact the Knights office on 01904 767404

Another good turn out on a freezing night, CT & JD will not be
considered for captain, DW wants them to concentrate on doing
there own stuff - will obviously be targeted.
Captain/captains likely to be from:
Dwayne Stroughier, Jack Lee, John Pressley, Benno & Ryan Esders.
Belly got the number 17 shirt.....
All numbers in Press today, but DW said who got what means
nothing - building a squad, not just a team.

Just another thing from last night, seems like the players are really been
pushed to the limit in training & Dicko is obviously having an affect.
But pretty certain he's not at all the training sessions & the 'usual suspects'
(one in particular) are putting in a hell of a lot of unsociable hours - early
mornings/late nights - to be with the lads & keep them going when it gets tough.
So very much a great team effort from the ''off the field'' guys & certain
it will pay off when the real stuff starts.

The most telling contribution for me came when Alex Benson,Duane Straugheir and JD all mentioned the 'professional training' and how everyone had done so well.
With the 3 of them having worked under Ellery Hanley,Steve McNamara and John Kear respectively and all highly rated English coaches, this was good news given the number of other English coaches in The Championship. Also interesting that a former conditioner at Bradford, where DS was,is currently at Barrow, our first opponents in the NRC.
With the camaraderie among the players it seems they will crawl over broken glass, jump through burning hoops and go through brick walls for the cause.Don't know if they deserve a day off though.
While I am more than happy to have Chris T.and JD put their arms around players and have a quiet word and advice while the captain does his own thing I certainly wouldn't object to a 'shouter and a pointer'.
I hope the player who should be extremely proud and privileged to possess the number 17 is also considered for the honour and responsibility. Some of the more successful captains have hardly been angels and it was extremely beneficial to that particular individual and the team.
Another excellent night. Thanks to each and every person who worked so hard to make it such.
Thanks to the owner for giving Dave his life back and sanctioning the bringing together of what appears to be a great bunch of blokes who will do themselves and the club proud in 2011.

It was a good night last night, nice to see so many supporters and sponsors there. It appears the players have the right attitude to teamwork and acting like a professional, which hasn't always been evident in previous years, so long may it continue.

Couldn't make it last night but sounds like the side has a great team spirit and that can takes us a long way.
Over moon Bell has got a squad number.....with the right head on and given the the belief that the club is showing him, he could be one of the standout players in the CC next season if he stays on the narrow.

It may just be then that his time out of the game, for whatever reason, could be beneficial.
I don't think he could strike it any luckier with having Dave Woods,Chris T and JD at the club so I reckon all bases are covered. It's entirely up to Ian Bell.I wish him every luck and every success.
