I once had a fall out with a guy at work ,a black guy ,and when i went away seething like you do when you fall out with some one ,and my inner thought's bordered on racism and later when I cooled down I was ashamed of myself ,I was very remorseful ,and i only had these thoughts I never spoke them out loud.
I am not a racist and next time I fall out with someone like that I hope I can control my anger a bit better

but you and I weve been through that and this is not our fate.
So let us so let us not talk falsely now.

But just because you say something pompously, it doesn't make it true.
You're not wrong, I remind myself of that when I read your articles and posts on here.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

Er, yes it does.
Only if you're assuming xenophobes to be racists. UKIP is a party full of xenophobes, BNP is a party full of racists. There is a difference in definition.

Also, some people seem to revel in being thin skinned and intolerant of anyone with mildly different views to their own.

The two words are essentially coterminus and only pedantry would stop you thinking otherwise.

I can reply to that that only pedantry would fail to see the point I made. UKIP are clearly xenophobes but make legally acceptable points. The BNP are clearly racist and do not.
Is your definition of racism so narrow that you'd class all UKIP members as racist?

It's a shame Grizzly Bear isn't around to "put you right" about the BNP. It's a legitimate political party etc.

Going by some of the stuff I've had to moderate over the years, yes. That said, the greatest portion of people on this forum who are accused of being racist are nothing of the sort. Being blunt and slightly xenophobic does not make you racist.
People don't actually get accused. They usually assume they are being accused because of the nature of what they have written and get aggressive/defensive/even more deluded. Why would they assume they're being accused I wonder......

I've never met a xenophobe that wasn't a racist and I've never met a racist that wasn't a xenophobe.
The BNP and UKIP are both parties that are full of racists as far as I can see.
There may be a difference in definition, however even this is debatable, but in reality there is no difference at all.

I can amiably talk with the Bangladeshi lads at my local curry restaurant on alls sorts of cultural and social issues, but I wouldnt get involved on similar topics on here, the squealing and handbags would stifle any debate within seconds
A great deal of truth in that. Many people are keen to take offence on behalf of others when those "others" probably wouldn't be offended at all.

For the most part, UKIP seem to be childish idiots mascarading as a serious political party, I don't think Griffen could be dismissed so casually.

Given that you've maliciously taken the first part of a sentence horribly out of context in your dig deliberately to maliciously and falsely slander me you haven't a leg to stand on. You've openly labelled me as a BNP/EDL supporter after posts I couldn't have been more clear in condemning them.
I can live with accusations if you can justify them but please stop this feigning innocence all the time

Not really because anyone who hates Americans could be classes as xenophobic but that's not the same as hating black people.

Can we say bad things about Australians while the Ashes are being contested?
Edited by Tiny Tim, 15 December 2010 - 10:15 PM.

The last government were convinced that we were there to do their bidding. They wasted vast quantities of our money in order to spy on us, intimidate us and needlessly over regulate us, whilst gold plating their own pensions and expenses. Their behind the scenes encouragement of, and turning a blind eye to, the kettling and harrassment tactics of the Police are a shameful episode in our history which we need to remember and address urgently. - Haloman

there is a diference, but they are both equally malignant, ignorant and prejudiced.

At the level of hate you're right but it's a question of degree as to me calling the Aussies convicts during the Ashes doesn't seem as bad as calling people wogs or whatever

They are not coterminous, and only ignorance, or a surfeit of indoctrination, would make you think otherwise.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.
