Mini roundabouts..

Now I know, strictly speaking, I was at fault, but as I approached a four way mini roundabout (crossroads version) yesterday, a taxi driver entered said rbt from my left, just in time I might add, then as I pulled onto the rbt to go straight across, he did a full circle and nearly hit the back of my car.
Imo it's a manoeuvre for people who either can't be bothered or are incapable of doing a three point turn in order to turn round in a road.
On larger roundabouts I don't have a problem with it but the mini ones I think it's too dangerous.

Mini-roundabouts. Approach these in the same way as normal roundabouts. All vehicles MUST pass round the central markings except large vehicles which are physically incapable of doing so. Remember, there is less space to manoeuvre and less time to signal. Avoid making U-turns at mini-roundabouts. Beware of others doing this.
[Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD regs 10(1) & 16(1)]
It isnt a rule but it does advise about not doing it. You will also see the warning about being aware of others doing it. I take it you were not thinking about someone going all the way round.

Cheers for the prompt reply. I forgot your occupation!
You're correct, I wasn't expecting somebody to do it as I would never consider doing it, it's doing the unexpected imo and is dangerous.
I know I shouldn't say it but it's usually females although in this case, the taxi driver was male. (Sorry girls)
Good god, post 6 already, quick tapping on here...no doubt the with wrath of Mags to follow.

It is harder to second guess a car doing a u-turn as you can't really pick up their line/lane.
In some cases it's too busy to try a 3 point turn, so the next roundabout is the easiest option, but it is hard to let others know you're going all the way, as it were.
I thought I was first to reply...../edit

I was right about your wrath in my edited post though, although I did expect a bit more venom.

Watch the tyres of the car going round a mini roundabout. A lot of the time people don't or don't have time to indicate to exit a mini roundabout.
If they are going all the way round, there tyres will be pointing right just about all the time.

Good tip.
Probably better than trying to look for an orange flashing light.

How can you not have time to indicate??? That's just lazy surely?? Anyone not indicating should be going straight on. Please don't encourage the idiots who already fail to drive correctly, to now watch tyres

Look again Maggie, i say about having time to indicate to exit
I make no mention about indicating on approach. Watching tyres is one thing that can help
If someone is just looking for a indicator, which may not be used. Would only be looking for one thing.
Some mini roundabouts are so small, steering becomes the priority.
As for the their dig

I can take you to 3 mini roundabouts and 1 double mini roundabout in Keighley. Where you will not have to time to indicate to exit. If you try to, your steering will suffer. Thus causing problems for other drivers.
One quick question. How do you know you can drive properly?

How very dare you
Second thoughts......in Keighley you say????
OK....I'd rather you call me a bad driver

Rob - what the f*ck happened to you chauffeur?
I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.
