harold , when you become Huddersfield,s feeder club did you not think it took a little bit of the pride out of the pride and heritage on your badge? We wouldnt know that at Hunslet because we aint a feeder club you see...

What feeder system? All I can see is a few young players from a Super League club joining us for a season to gain experience. Every club in the Championship has taken advantage of the. I'm actually not surprised no SL club has linked up with you. After watching the SKY game last season against Workington, they probably realised that it wouldn't do any of their young starlets much good to play for a club where most of the players had their beer guts hanging out of their shirts and the only matchday atmosphere was created by the intermittent passing by of a steam train.
By the way, have you forgotten the recent past when you used to come running to us for reserve players to fill your first XVII? It was actually pretty handy that you were willing to keep some of our lesser squad members fit for us until we encountered a desperate injury crisis. To some extent, we probably miss having a 'feeder' club there to help us out in that sense.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

The definition of a deluded fan is one who believes a club that plays out of a rented, barren, one-stand athletics stadium, has poor support and has played in bottom league of the pro game for a decade, is a big fish.

When was the last time you won the league? You've been nothing but small team, with no fans, playing up a slope, making the numbers up for ten years, never mind all this about winning the Northern Mickey Mouse Cup, half the teams who are in it use it as pre season friendlies!

But I never said we'd won the league. Even if we did, it wouldn't make us a big club. Winning the Northern Rail cup doesn't make us a big club (incidentally though, we took 2700 fans to Blackpool, more than Hunslet took for the arduous four mile trip to Headingley in 1999 for their last final). We're not, we're a small club. Only a total gloit would read into ,my post as an attempt to depict Batley as a big club. Like I said, our fans are not deluded. You and some of your buddies, on the other hand, are 100% deluded. Its quite amusing really!

Hey harold, if you want to talk about the past i can easily go back to the time when Batley, Doncaster and Liverpool City always fought out who was gonna finish bottom of the Rugby League and a trip to Mount Pleasant was a gimme 2 points, in fact on our way to Wembley in 65 we knocked out little old Batley before we accounted for Leeds in the quarter final at Parkside. Our host of GB Internationals then beat the star studded Wakefield in the semi final before narrowly losing 20-16 against the mighty Wigan at Wembley.
Just a little history lesseon for you.
Ive stood on the cinders and muck at either end at Mount Pleasant many a time looking out onto a sea of mud with hardly any grass and a long stand with holes in the railway sleepers where the mice and rats used to play, so what Steve Ball both our clubs ex Chairman did for you in turning your ground around i have nothing but admiration for the presant day Batley club.My problem is with some of your fans who seem to think that because both Hunslet and York have come up they will go straight back down, you seem to think on the evidence of one TVgame against Workington that Hunslet are an overweight team with no pace in this star studded league that you have (and fair play to you) managed to stay in for ten seasons.I cant wait for the season to start and think it will be the most competative for years with anyone capable of beating anyone else.

Coooooome on. Its obvious from your frequent digs at the likes of York and Batley as being 'small' clubs that you see the 'mighty' Hunslet as being a 'big' club, and some kind of sleeping giant. You're not only completely deluded for believing that, but even more so for then trying to deny that its your agenda.

Frequent digs at Batley? dont think so, your not on my radar, but when your fans come on here constantly writing us off for the new season and saying this that and other about us, we are bound to have a bight!

Digs at York, yes we have a good rivalry, and York are a smaller club than us, History, trophies and attendences over the last 100 years say so!

You SERIOUSLY believe that you are a bigger club than York? I'm no York fan, but its clear that in recent history they have attracted bigger crowds than yourselves, and have achieved similar standards of success on the field of play. If you wish to cite the fact that you won the Challenge Cup back in the year dot to press home the fact that you are a bigger club, then your bordering on the delusional again. Batley won the Challenge Cup in 1890-something, but I'd be a total loon to use that as just cause for stating that we were a 'bigger' club than another one.

Its clear in Yorks recent History they have gone bust, surely not a prerequisite of a big club?

You'd think the step up from league 1 to championship was like conference to champions league the way Haroldhassexwithhishand and Batley are banging on about it, come on Gareth Moore is there star man!!

I think we will be ok. We have some real quality players with super league experience in KEY POSITIONS i think we will suprise Haroldhassexwithhishand and few others!

What an amusing and witty play on my username. Low mental age I guess.
As for naming star men, I'd like you to name your own outstanding talents, if you think Mr.Moore is such a laughable nomination.
Anyway, I personally think you should have your Championship 1 title withdrawn. Any victories that were gained whilst Steve Dooler was in the side and presumably using performance enhancing substances should be scrubbed, at least. Its unfair on the opposition clubs you picked up wins in games against whilst having a drugs cheat in your side. Remember your laughable attitudes towards our club when George Flanagan tested positive for cocaine in 2009? rolleyes.gif

If you say so. laugh.gif Strange if he didn't, as these days the majority of players are meticulous in checking any medication or supplements they choose to ingest for banned substances. Maybe he's just a blameless numbskull, or maybe something more sinister has gone on.
Still though, he was playing whilst under the influence of a banned substance, and a performance enhancing one at that, so I strongly recomment that any points you gained whilst he was present are stripped. Cheating (whether or not he claims to have been aware, its still cheating) can not be tolerated or rewarded. Its simply not fair on the clubs you beat with him in the side.
Lets hope he doesn't get a peg in the changing room next to Richie Barnett next season, such a meeting of minds could spell trouble for your club!
