Not got an answer have we?

I'm happy to admit that I was mis-informed about the Steve Dooler case. My silly attitude was obviously slightly tongue in cheek, but I'm still going to pursue this to the ridiculous degree of stupidity that your fans did regarding George Flanagan a few years back, and repeat that as he was still under the influence of a performance enhancing drug when he took the field for some of your games, it wasn't fair on the opposition. It just serves to highlight how deluded some members of this forum really are.
Indeed, whilst some of the morons on here were more than happy to slate Batley Bulldogs over the Flanagan business, you were more than happy to welcome on board a bona-fide performance-enhancing steroid abusing drug cheat in the shape of Richie Barnett.
A few of you have already been made to look like idiots with the news that your club is looking at bringing in one or two dual registration players, only days after posting pious statements about other sides who have taken advantage of the system being nothing more than 'feeder' clubs without any dignity. Lets see if the usual suspects learn their lesson regarding rash statements. Wouldn't bet on it though.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Stop digging Harold and throw the shovel away, are you suggesting that someone who innocently takes a banned substance that is not listed as an ingredient of a food supplement is as guilty as someone who of his own free will shovels cocaine up his snout?

Yes we have signed Richie Barnett, a player who has in the past taken performance-enhancing steroids, he has since served his ban and is therefore eligible to play once again just the same as George will when his ban comes to an end, what's the problem?

Personally I do have a problem with dual registration players, I don't agree with it, the reason? not really sure, it just doesn't sit easy with me if you're a member of a team that's it, if you want to play for another team either leave or get a transfer, how can you commit yourself to more than one team or one set of mates at a time?

Rant over, have a merry Xmas and a happy New Year

Maybe he was but was he knowingly using it to gain an advantage the tribunal thought not and it seems like he took all the appropriate steps to ensure that he was taking a legal supplement. As for the Flanagan issue there was lot of rumours about that which caused all the bother it did plenty of people seemed to think it was known before that game that he failed the drug test and it never got proven or disproven.

You SERIOUSLY believe that you are a bigger club than York? I'm no York fan, but its clear that in recent history they have attracted bigger crowds than yourselves, and have achieved similar standards of success on the field of play.

I have pointed out before, York have a big catchment area to work from, halfway to Gateshead [North], halfway to Hull [East], halfway to Leeds, Castleford [South], whereas, we are just a small suburb of a city with practically no population surrounded by Leeds [North], Wakefield [South] and Dewsbury and Batley much nearer. Also, we have credibility as a club. When we almost went 'bust' a couple of years ago, we didn't walk away from our debts like some clubs do, but paid them off and finished bottom of the league. We may be poor but we can hold our head up.

It is far better to remain silent and be thought a fool
than to open your mouth and prove that you are.
