I know you've heard it all before but this time it's happening because at 25 I still have a good life ahead of me.
The people on this site have been very supportive and I recommend anyone with a gambling problem to visit and be part of this site.

On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....
"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

"I'm getting text messages from my mates telling me the darts handicaps asking if I want to borrow money to bet."
They're not your mates if that's their attitude. They should be trying to help you surely?

Come on, Mick! You don't need that ######! You've got a good job, an interesting hobby and loads of mates. You've got the life you want, more or less. And gambling will screw it up for you. Don't be a mug, because I know you're not.

Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.
I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try
Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Oh come on Tony - how many more times? If publishing this on a web forum is his idea of therapy then fine - any addiction needs a complete lifestyle change to get off it.
Attention seeking again I'm afraid

Hi Tony.
It's day three since the last gamble and if I'm honest it's hard and hasn't been helped by the events of last night where I witnessed an assault, so I've only just woke up in the last hour after being taken to Keighley police station to complete the essential statement.
Back to the gambling and I keep thinking if only I could have control and gamble for small amounts then I could use it as a social rather than destructive hobby.
Instead the only real way to beat this horrible illness is to end up having to totally abstain from it and now I'm left wondering what else to replace it with?
Thank the lord that the Rugby League season starts on Sunday because that will give me a massie lift, being in the commentary box calling the game.
But Rugby League isn't 24/7 and I have to find other things and things which cost a lot less money and stress.

You won't be getting anymore texts saying I've put £30 on Hull City or done £10 each way on Stella to win the apprentice.
I would like to think that when I visit Hull next year you would be able to spot the change.

Hi Simon
My best friend is a CG and bets regularly like I used to do (I guess you could say we've grown up together in the bookies), only last week he lost £250 on the horses and I try to explain to him and our social circle that just by even telling me about the losses/wins is putting gambling to the front of my mind.
The right thing is to disconnect from these friends but then I lose 15+ years of friendship.

Evidence points to the contrary.
Man up, and bore off too. There really ought to be another forum dedicated to these posts, there have been that many of them. I sympathise, but we're not your best option as a support group, stop being a drama queen.
