He turned down the original offer from York.Whether or not he went for the coaching position at Keighley before or after further negotiations with York is not known.
Now he has been at York for a short time I am sure he is convinced he has made the correct decision to join the club having met the personnel involved with the club.
He must be aware of the history of the chairman of Keighley and how the timing of his appointment brought the sport into further notoriety.
No problem for me that he has taken steps to further his own career and make every effort to seek the best
remuneration for his family.
Nothing has happened for me to doubt his loyalty to the cause or that he has been dishonest with anyone or let anyone down.( Unlike his potential chairman )

The 'problem' for me is the rise in expectation levels for 2011
when JD signed (mine & lots of others) which might now be pulled
from under our feet.

Not only are Hunslet a bigger attraction for your players, now Keighley are, i suppose history and tradition will always prevail against a club that went bust

Should the worst case scenario occur I'm sure there are contingency plans in place.

Wait a minute, you lot always moan that poor little Hunslet are Hetherington's bitch and that the Knights benefit from using Leeds training ground. Dont come crying to us maccccca. Poor little Hunslet, always trying to tug on the shirt sleeves of bigger clubs and make some sort of noise - hency why you're always on here. Bless you maccccca.
If JD goes to keighley, good luck to him.
