and JD should be applauded for being open about it - if anything that shows professionalism and that he is committed to and fair with york.

I would never question the integrity of Jason Demetriou.
He turned down the original offer from York.Whether or not he went for the coaching position at Keighley before or after further negotiations with York is not known.
Now he has been at York for a short time I am sure he is convinced he has made the correct decision to join the club having met the personnel involved with the club.
He must be aware of the history of the chairman of Keighley and how the timing of his appointment brought the sport into further notoriety.
No problem for me that he has taken steps to further his own career and make every effort to seek the best
remuneration for his family.
Nothing has happened for me to doubt his loyalty to the cause or that he has been dishonest with anyone or let anyone down.( Unlike his potential chairman )

You do know Marchy went for it as well. Says he wants to move back to a bigger club.

What's the problem? He wants to play for york but he also wants to get into coaching in the longterm. Sounds like everything has been above board and nothing like the Glasseye or Clayton senario. If any player gets the chance to further their career it would be wrong to stop him. york should be applauded for being good to players.
The 'problem' for me is the rise in expectation levels for 2011
when JD signed (mine & lots of others) which might now be pulled
from under our feet.

No chance off him wanting to make a return to York then

Think we should all wait and see if he goes to Keighley or stays at the Knights where he wil be learning from one of the top coaches outside S/L, what ever he does I for one wish him well.

Not only are Hunslet a bigger attraction for your players, now Keighley are, i suppose history and tradition will always prevail against a club that went bust

I cannot see JD getting the job at Keighley when 2 half-backs have left that club and there is the opportunity to have a player/coach who is a recognised half-back at the club or to maintain continuity by promoting from within.
Should the worst case scenario occur I'm sure there are contingency plans in place.
Dylan Nash, please.( Those Halifax fans may have been lucky,once...)

Poor little Hunslet, always trying to tug on the shirt sleeves of bigger clubs and make some sort of noise - hency why you're always on here. Bless you maccccca.
If JD goes to keighley, good luck to him.
