Pretty sure NWC said at a meeting earlier this season that they would remain winter.

well im sure that all rugby will go summer eventully we have a backlog of 6 games already now which is going to take the season well into may maybe longer !!! as for you cents how you figure that we strenthen our A team now when we play the same time as out 1st team just sounds like sour grapes mate thought u had been round long enough to have a bit more about you than that ###### comment !!! and if we do stretch to playing rugby for 12 monthes coz b&d wont move to summer what is the problem it would only be filled with fringe 1st team players that spend most time on the bench and young lads coming through the ranks which will only be good for us as a club !!!!

The NCL League Management has unanimously taken the decision to strongly recommend to the clubs that they accept the invitation of the Rugby Football League to play as the “The Conference League (North)” from March 2012 onwards.

Therefore, the NCL Club’s meeting on Monday April 4th, is set to be the biggest day in the history of the Hatton’s Solicitors National Conference League when all 38 clubs will be asked to vote to support the Management’s recommendation to operate a summer season for 2012 and onwards.

What are the Barrow clubs doing next year? I hear they weren't at the NWCL meeting so guess they're deciding separately as makes sense for them all to be together, especially as regards reserve teams.

Barrow and District clubs voted in favour of staying winter and Barrow clubs were represented at NWC meeting.

What is the NWC view on summer rugby, has it been discussed, has it been dismissed or are they waiting to see what happens elsewhere? Are any B&D clubs considering the BARLA winter conference?

Apparently 20 clubs (including 11 from the NCL) are moving their teams to summer, 22 are staying winter, 13 stated they're undecided at the meeting and 10 didn't attend. I know several more than the 20 are definitely switching.

Expect it to split into 3-4 divisions in winter under BARLA ad 3-4 divisions in summer under the RFL.

NWC have stated they will continue to run as a winter league but I can see that as more teams make the switch it will entice other clubs to try their arm. As for the winter conference I think there is only Askam who meet the current criteria as nobody else has u17/18s

With Millom and perhaps Askam switching to summer with the NCL and having to take their A teams with them where will they play in summer? Cumberland League? Also how will B & D manage with just 6 teams in the league?

only allowed 30 signed on and if they sign for the `A` they would miss the start of the following summer season has you have to play out the season you are signed in the last.

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.<div align='center'></div>

if you strengthen your winter team with your summer players and they sign for the A team in winter, they cannot play the summer game until the winter league is finished as they are signed for your winter team - think thats what he means
