A little bit late posting but seeing as I'm on my last glass of red wine for the day can I hope that all Town fans have hadas merry a Christmas as I have had. I hope that the New Year puts an end to all the long suffering that we Town fans have endured for many a long year and that we once again take our place as the Pride of Cumbria.
No matter what happens though as others have said a big thank you to Dave Bowden and his board of directors who have kept us solvent in very hard times and for their sake as much as our own I hope the New Year brings their hard work to fruition.
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year to everyone
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
