I see that colder weather is forecast to return this weekend, with -3c being suggested as a Saturday night low, and +2c as Sundays high. Are we still entitled to the covers for the local derby?

The covers in question are now currently covering Oldhams ground for their new years day derby with Rochdale for the Law Cup
i wouldnt worry about frozen grounds though, water logged fields are more likely

Thanks for the reply. MP waterlogged would be a first, I think.

Our house would be under 50 foot of water then
When I want your opinion, I will remove the gaffer tape

Was talking to Iro today. Looks promising for Sunday although apparently the pitch is a bit muddy.

Let's all hope and pray that the frost which is forecast for Saturday night is not too severe and it's a nice sunny day on Sunday.

Bright enough, but colder than the past couple of days, with clouds coming down from the North (though I live 15 miles from The Mount, and support The Rams. REALLY looking forward to today's game, it's been far too long since the last game, though the result could go either way.
Both sides have a number of new players, and the early days are always uncertain. Naturally I'm looking for a Rams victory, but a loss won't be the end of the world for either side. Just hope neither side gets any serious injuries.
Oz.
PS and England win the final test in Sydney!!!

Well as you regularly reminded us last season - not only do you have the best coach and best team in the division, but also the best groundsman, so anything less than pitch perfection will be a huge disappointment.
Happy new year to all the dogs and rams fans by the way.
