Anybody else looking forward to this?

FT is one of my favourite comedies ever and I actually did a mini-tour of the sites when down in Galway in the summer, including the really dark caves, the picnic area, the local pub and of course the parochial house. Heard they're going to do one themselves tonight, can't wait!

Mine too, it's lifted my spirits many a time when I've been down in the dumps.

Absolutely love it.

Aye.

One handed boxing!
Then wisdom says: cherish your days, worry only lets your time slip away
Push away the thief trying to steal your gift, the fighter is the one whose feet are swift.

He played Stan Laurel in a very good TV drama, but as soon I recognised him, I couldn't stop thinking "Bishop Len Brennan!"

There indeed was, seems like a nice bloke really. It'd be a shame that if we ever met I'd probably be thinking "underneath all this lies Bishop Brennan somewhere".

Great TV, best of all the christmas period for me. Just reminded me that Father Ted was for me equalled by very few and never bettered.

Missed a lot of it, but what little I saw was a thing of beauty and a joy forever. smile.gif

If you pay very close attention to the Embankment scene in A Clockwork Orange where the vagrant is being viciously assaulted, Bishop Brennan is one of the thugs.

He was also on U.S. Sci Fi Babylon 5 as a judge. Coincidentally just that day I'd seen one of the few episodes he was in. Didn't even know it was Father Ted night at the time.
