Strange if he's left at this early stage. I heard lots of good things about him last season, and he even made the Ireland squad despite his relative inexperience. Additionally, I imagine that Dewsbury won't be too keen on releasing him from any contract if he wants to join another club, so unless someone stumps up a transfer fee he won't be going anywhere this season.

And so the Warren Jowitt exodus begins again...deja vu anyone?

Each year every side has their very own Gary green, Henderson, Watson, Cardoza moments. looks like Robinson for us and fox for the rams constitutes the walkers (limpers)
Get them shipped out, either pull on a shirt a play out of your skin or do one to the national conference or another gullible pro side with a few spare crispy notes.
really shocked that Robinson went down so early and easy from a text book legs and all tackle.
Either he was too preoccupied in what he was going to do with ball in hand, he's unfit or his bulk up top constitutes an hindrance.
Speedy recovery lad but big cumbersome players usually make as much consistent forward momentum as the marsh and gibbons twins.

just lost interest apparently.....released by Leeds, then taken by wakey, loaned to Dewsbury, back to Wakey, then released by wakefield, back to dewsbury....maybe playing in struggling side....a mixture of everything according to my mate who works with him....maybe a bit of patience is the order of the day ?

No offence nine oiler but sometimes you write absolute TOSH. Preoccupied, unfit, bulk ????. He got injured as all rugby league players do from time to time by a opposing player tackling him hard but fair .

non taken rod/ graham but a lad as big and strong shouldn't get cut down like a sack of charcoal on his first carry round the legs by some spotty thornhill lad!

Dews fans talk highly of him. There is still a place in the modern game for a battering ram near the line. Martin McLaughlin was of the same mould and did alright for us.

Make no mistake, Robbo scatters defenders like wobbly skittles when he gets going, but he is injury prone in the way that Bostock was, because of the nature of his game. He received a hard tackle on a cold day, probably before he had got fully warmed up, and that is always potentially damaging. In my opinion he was one of our stand out players last year, and a big loss. Hope his injury is not too serious, and he soon gets the chance to change 9oller's first (and misplaced) first impressions - but not against us. Good luck Robbo!

if he goes down like a "sack of charcoal" every week then come mid season start criticising, but give the guy a chance to play a few games first before having a pop.
As for the game - Good solid performance without really breaking sweat, and clearly a little rusty as it was the first run out.
The defence looked solid, led by a strong looking pack and once the mennell / handforth / moore partnership clicks we will cause teams some real problems.
Couldnt really fault the effort or performance of any of the team, though have to say Dane Manning stood out for me, hes the kind of back rower weve been crying out for, constantly running for the gap rather than the man and took some holding.
Looking forward to seeing how we develop in the weeks to come.

They said that Robinson runs straight and hard and as a result is susceptible to being caught low and felled.
They reckon the Dewsbury lads (having played with him) knew this and would have been looking for a chance from the off.
Hope he's ok though.
I sure both Wozza and Harrison would appreciate the subtleties of a head down ar53 up straight driving forward. Never forget that, "the most direct route between two points is a straight line."
That aside I thought it was a very good crowd considering the weather and all.
Do we think it would have been more or less on boxing day?

granted the game was labored but victorious, but read nowt into it both teams were slow and playing some sort of diluted game plan.
wozza and the rhino would be far from content.
Off topic, but what's the signature all about?
