I cannot believe how quiet this board is with the first pre season match just 7 days away!
Is there any news out there on new players or even old players comming back?

I agree - very quiet.
As mentioned, the first action of 2011 is just 7 days away. Although only a 'friendly' (if there is such a thing in RL), the game against Swinton is going to be a bit special for a few reasons.
Firstly, Craven Park opened its' gates for the first time in 1931, so this year is the 80th Anniversary. Barrow's first ever opponents at CP were .... you guessed it, Swinton.
Also, the match will see Schofield vs McCormack as coaches which will obviously add a bit of extra spice to the occasion. It's also the first chance to see Mark Gleeson and Jamie Thackray in a Barrow shirt.
Plenty of reasons to get down to CP. It can't come soon enough for me. A poster for this match is imminent (just awaiting the nod from the club).

Really looking forward to the pre season games starting, seems too long since last season finished. Will be good to see Gleeson and Thackeray make there debuts, however I'm getting slightly worried at the lack of strength in depth we have. To get a good squad a fullback, 2 centres and 2 props are needed pretty quickly, otherwise the team will pick itself each week, which breeds complacency as players are pretty much guaranteed there place. Also is there any more news on Nigel Wright arriving, as the longer it drags on I can't see him coming.

Can't wait for Sunday for all the above reasons... Hopefully we'll hear some "player news" this week. Anyone know the admission price for the friendlies ?

It says on the Wigan website that the game is £10 & £4 concession admission. Cant see the other 2 games being more than this.
