For the third year running, I am volunteering to organise a charity golf day, if we can get more than a handful of people interested.

Let's hope that, at the 3rd time of asking, we manage to get a few people interested, and we can raise a few quid for charity.

I still have a boxful of Mighty Penguin Polo shirts, that were organised by JWAD, so we can even look good whilst we are doing it.

I was thinking of sometime in April, but if April doesn't work, then we can do it later in the year.

Venue to be confirmed, but somewhere in sunny Lancashire would be easier for me to organise. biggrin.gif

Who's up for it?

I'm definitely up for supporting it in whatever role I can (none golfing)

I'll spread the word amongst those who don't frequent so much these days, and lets hope a lot of new faces come along too

MIAG up for a quiz after??

The last two of these that have been organised I have missed through being away, thus far I don't know that I am away in April.

I won't partake of any golfy type stuff but will come along to support the event, maybe take som pics and be a general nuisance. biggrin.gif

Following from my abject performance on the course as part of Riversiderontours 40th celebrations I've no interest in ever swinging a club again personally!

However, would be up for a beer and what ever post golf activities you may or may not be planning to support the event as best I can!

I'd definitely be up for taking part in this.

When in April would you be thinking of doing this Hannibal? I couldn't do the Easter Weekend, but anything before that is good for me

16th is fine for me and defo up for the golf - handicap 15 but will play off 18 if that's easier to work out the stable ford scores
biggrin.gif
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Sadly I will be in sunny climbs elsewhere that weekend.

I'd toast KT otherwise, obviously.
Cheer up, RL is actually rather good

I can't remember who won what from the Golf at Aintree, but I do remember it being a good do

16th is looking good to me and, like MIAG, I need notice for hotel purposes as well

I'll try and swing a club, not done it for a few years mind, either of the two mentioned dates suit as well.
And so the future begins.....

Somewhere in Lancashire.

Probably Westhoughton, near Bolton, so about an hour from Bradford.

All sounds good and I think there'll be a fair few people keen on having a whack around

Would we be able to agree on date and location as soon as possible? If it's Westhoughton, then cool.

Great.

We can agree on the 16th April, and the venue will be one of the following, depending on which I can get the best deal at.

Hart Common Golf Club, Westhoughton

Regent Park Golf Club, Bolton

I'll get back as soon as I can with prices etc.

However, we are going to need a few more than we have now to make it worthwhile. I can bring a few golfers along, but that wasn't really the point.

Well done Hannibal - sounds great but completely agree with you - need more TRLers joining us.
