I'm getting mightily fed up of the unskippable piracy warnings and adverts you get on DVDs/Blu-Rays these days. We have a Lovefilm subscription and one movie we watched last night had a 10-15 second piracy advert that could not be skipped or forwarded, followed by six trailers that could not be skipped but could be forwarded. It then had one of those over-dramatic title animations that took 10+ seconds to get through the animation to a clickable option.
Do the anti-piracy people not get that those people like me who watch genuine DVDs and Blu-Ray disks are probably the only ones who see their warnings? We're not "target audience" as we've actually bought/rented the bloody thing and all they're doing is annoying me with their over-dramatic warnings.
If I were to copy/pirate a DVD, the first thing I'd strip would be the idiot warning and idiot trailers.

I think that it's more to do with the LoveFilm discs isn't it? I bought an ex-rental one of ebay and it had these warnings/trailers. But buy a retail copy and they don't have them do they? (I don't buy that many).

Might well be... we only use Lovefilm for things we'll probably watch once and don't have any intention of buying.

There tends to be less on purchased copies and those that are there are sometimes automatically skipped on the second viewing. The "now showing" ones can usually be skipped with the next button too.

A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.
He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas.
And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.
