Good point, hadnt thought of that. KR seem to be quite a progressive club so this could be a very good move by our board, well done.

I know this is nothing to do with Worky, but York have recently set up a match with Castleford this Sunday (9th). Castleford are playing mostly 1st team players for their 1st hit out. See Yorks forum for their squad details. Our current coach (Dave Woods) took Cas back to Super League, so should be a few there.

why do we always look at the negatives in all situations.the club has got nothing to lose with this arrangement,so what if havens partnership never came to much, its a totally different situation than ours.it gives our coaches chance to see how the top teams operate, and can only improve us as a team. i for one think weve done well to come to an agreement with hull kr and personally think that the guys who have worked hard to arrange this should be congratulated.

I don't know much about these 'arrangements'; in what was Havens 'a totally different situation than ours' ?

ok so what do they get out of it then? Sorry oh positive one, just call me cautious.
If both sides benefit ..great, if it makes us some sort of feeder club i would be less keen.
All i'm asking is .. how has it worked for other clubs such as Haven?

well for one thing it is two totally different clubs.it is up to the clubs involved to make it a good arrangement to benefit both parties.i agree the situation could be a non-starter so to speak, but if handled correctly then especially our coaches(who are both pretty new to the coaching game) can pick up tips and help from the likes of justin morgan and his assistants.how is that a bad thing.if nothing comes of it then what have we lost?i just think we should get behind the decisions the bod are making to make us a better club.as for homeandawayers point about being a feeder club,i cant see that happening as the best local talent as of late has been picked up from cumbria well before the likes of town and haven get a chance to get them.if we do supply more players to super league then surely that is a good thing,as we are developing young players and giving them guidance and coaching to be better players.shaun lunt was deemed not good enough for super league until he had a few years developing at town, now he is an international player and one of the best up and comers in super league.if they give us a good few years like shaun did and jared is now, then i would be happy if we keep developing talent.

Why are you cautious if you have no basis for it? Without the facts you cant really make a decision surely. If we get one positive thing from this then it will have been worthwhile, surely. If the minimum to happen is we have them for a friendly, we have some coaching clinics, we have access to a couple of young players etc then for me its worthwhile.

I believe in you don't get owt for nowt. Again i'm asking what do they get out of it ?
Have other clubs who have entered such arrangements e.g. York, Haven deemed it a success? I'm not totally against it ,just as you say requiring the facts.

Probably but he's stated he wants Super League and after the way he's played for us good luck to him , i hope he does.
We know why we the championship clubs enter these arrangements but to repeat myself .. what do SL clubs get out of it?
