I think the 'nasty shot' bounces up of Keegan's chest, very much like the the Luke Burgess injury against Cas.
One of those thing's I'm afraid.

I find it amusing that Austin 'the elbow' Buchanan was straight in there having a moan to the ref.

Also a nice piece of editing leaving out 'the elbow' and your vice captain '2 Bobs' trying to start a fight about a minute later on the last play of the game.

Johnny Walker used his shoulder, not his elbow: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=5HeUUDcBT6I

Dane Manning raised his elbow and hit Keegan Hirst in the face.

The oracle has spoken. If you can genuinely testify from that split second, grainy footage that he hit him in the face with an elbow, then you can probably also capable of clearly see the American flag on the moon through severe fog.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Unless you're watching the footage on an iPhone (or while wearing cerise and fawn tinted spectacles!) it's not difficult to see! laugh.gif wink.gif

Its impossible to make out from that footage whether or not he makes contact with the chest first, the chin, or chest then chin. Like I said, if you can sit there and state with 100% belief that its a deliberate elbow to the head, then you are in the wrong job. NASA may well have a role for you somewhere within their organisation.
(Or, you could just be wearing Red, Amber and Black tinted spectacles.)

I'm speaking objectively as a league journo, honest! wink.gif

OK... fair point... I'm a Dewsbury lad, you're a Batley lad. Shall I put it on the main board for everyone else to have a gander at?

Idiotic statement.

It looked ok on the day and there`s no way of telling from that video if it was or wasn`t legal.

I was about 15 yards away when it happend and it was a tremendouly good hit that bounced up. No intent (honestly) from what I saw.

The referee was a moron for allowing the Rams to take to penalty after the hooter, which could quite easily have turned intop a mass brawl.

Was Keegan hurt or just a touch concussed ?

If you are so desperate to prove yourself right, as you obviously believe you are, then do whatever you want with the clip.

Right, I've posted it on the main forum. Let's see what response we get. It's the only way we can know for sure!

Ironically I was fighting Bryn Powell's corner this time last year after some of you lot felt aggrieved by his tackle on Gareth Moore from a kick-off. Needless to say, the footage on that occasion was clear enough for a handful of Dogs fans to condemn Bryn.

I'm not desperate to prove anything, just enjoying a bit of healthy debate on a Friday afternoon.

Nice and impartial views coming from the League Express there.

Keegan Hirst = a nice big target for proper forwards to smash up ? Discuss . . .

I might put that on the main forum.

I have watched the tackle frame by frame, and in my opinion he made no contact with the chest and just planted his elbow on Keegans chin whether or not it was intentional i guess only Manning will know.

In addition to that 'nasty ' shot from Manning , would you be so kind as to post an additonal clip , obviously you have the full 80 mins available , approx 10 minutes into the 2nd half there is a shot with the forearm by a certain Rob Roberts on Paul Mennell , i would appreciate it if you could post that clip too then we can make comment on that 'nasty ' tackle .

Cheers James .

I thought he made no contact with the chest. The referee did put it on report. The highlights should contain all incidents of serious foul play by both teams or none at all.
