I'm currently eating jellyfish for dinner. Nice in small amounts but really got a sting in it!

I dunno about strangest, but the most unsettling with a "Virginia style" fried soft-shell crab sandwich.
It was, literally, an entire fried crab between two pieces of bread - with its legs hanging out of the side, like a big crusty spider.
That was ... interesting.
Quite tasty, though.

I ate some stuff in Japan that i didn't recognise at all and the Japanese guys I was with couldn't or wouldn't translate it. They ate it as well or I would have thought I was being set up...
People from work who have been to Korea have told some horror stories about rotten cabbage and live octopus but thankfully I've never been

Had wild boar and frog and like them, ostrich and kangaroo too. Bear sounds interesting. Been meaning to try goat but never got round to it, same with horse

Bear is a bit like boar insofar as it tastes like pork but is more greasy and has a strong aftertaste. Goat is basically a more fatty version of lamb. Also had ostrich (though not kangaroo).

I've tried the Durain fruit from Thailand, which was an experience I'll never forget
First of all, it absolutely stinks, reeks to high heaven. Also, it has all the texture of cheese and is surprisingly runny for a piece of fruit
Interesting taste though, kind of sour

Boo!!
Kimchi by itself is odd, but in a soup ala kimchi jiggae it's quite nice.
Live octopus was good!
Dog was ok.
The worst was these grubs i had at a football game. Weird and disgusting.

Live snail.
Unfortunately I can't remember what it was like as I was only about 18 months old at the time.

The strangest food I haven't eaten is live prawns. I was at a meal in Korea which consisted of raw fish, served on a slab of ice. I managed not to disgrace myself with the raw fish, then they brought what appeared to be raw prawns. i then realised they were still moving about
Helen who hates eggs, ordered steak tartare in France thinking it would be steak with a tartare sauce - I didn'tknow any better. It turned out to be raw minced steak with a raw egg on top. I ate that - it wasn't that bad.
