Wakefield need to raise £500,000 before the end of January to secure their immediate future. They are wanting people of Wakefield to buy £1000 worth of shares before the deadline of 31/1/11... is there 500 people willing to buy?

The Crusaders thing aside, why should the RFL bail them out? They'll have had over £10million worth of SKY cash over the last 10 years and what have they got to show for it? Maybe they should have put a few quid aside from the playing budget to pay their tax bill? I've got sympathy for the fans and it's terrible that a SL club is having to get the begging bowl out, but the blame lies solely with the folk who run the club, not the RFL. Rest of us have to pay our liabilities on time without a bail-out if we over stretch ourselves (banks excepted!), so why shouldn't RL clubs?

too many fat cat overseas players over the years getting paid too much, the s hit was always gonna hit the fan one day, it seems like that day has arrived.
From what I gather, when the lose their franchise and enter the Championship, which is now inevitable, they won't be afford a hefty parachute payment as was received by such as Castleford and Salford. Coupled with the loss of revenue that relegation is going the bring, the Wakefield club could well be pushed over the edge of the cliff.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Not Too Much Trust Dancing With The Devil(s) OR Covering All Angles
Just a shame Wakefield didn't share with a football club at their stadium or have a council build them a stadium.
