The first 20 minutes were excellent. The ball was thrown about at every opportunity and good tries were scored by Liam Campbell and James Nixon. Really good to watch. After that Swinton got more and more on top and in the end Barrow ended playing more and more down the middle and one man rugby. Barrow were a better and faster side but I think were very lucky to win in the end. Mark Smith made a difference to Swinton when he came on. It was pleasing to see good performances from Harrison and Fletcher and they looked a lot fitter than last season.
It must be remembered that we were without Catic, Rooney, Gleason, Broadbent & Luisi.
Overall it was good to be back at CP and I'm looking forward to seeing us play Workington next week. I just hope some of the performance doesn't put off many supporters, it's certainly better than football.

Coyle injury looks serious, and the substitutions were baffling!!! Apart for Coyles injury there were no other subs in the 1st half and we then waited until 10 mins from the end to make another couple.

Totally agree, the players are human beings for god sake.. most of them havent played a competitive game in months, they need time to settle back into the routine, thats what pre-season fixtures are organised for.

Does anyone know the official "Teamsheet", I was walking round to the Duke Street stand to try and get some warmth, when the team was announced. My feet were absolutely "blocks of ice" in the stand. Mark (Ferret) is it possible to receive a "Teamsheet" please, after each home & away game.
